Oxfam are an effective NGO cos their project work with communities focuses on sustainability, fair trade, human rights and social justice. They stand out as one of the few international NGO's with CARE International, that spend only a small proportion (less than 5%) of their funds on admin, most goes to programs and campaigns in indigenous communities. The Oxfam global Fair Trade campaign, is HUGELY important as the current international trade system severely disadvantages people in developing countries and is one of the root causes of world poverty.
